Danny competed just once in the trials in 2004. Unfortunately he failed to qualify that year. After doing exemplary work in the other exercises, the horse fidgeted so much in the stay exercise the dog did not want to remain in the same place! He redeemed himself when it mattered however, as some time after the trials, Danny stayed with Cliff when he fell from his horse and broke his leg.
