Daisy is my first Dalmatian and certainly wont be my last! She has introduced me to the world of showing, and has opened up many other doors and friendships, including carriage driving and of course the Trials. She is a mummy's girl and my best friend and is never far from my side!

The Nationals 2007 was our 1st attempt at the carriage dog trials and we came away having qualified as a bronze road dog and attained 3rd place, with a final score of 575/600. What a weekend!

Daisy has been joining me and my little cob mare Emmy, out hacking around the stunning Saddleworth area, since she was around 16 weeks old, and now at 18 months she is a true 'Road Dog' in every sense of the word. We are a familiar sight on the main roads and bridleways in my area, where we always get smiles and comments on what a wonderful, traditional sight and how exceptionally well behaved she is. Emmy, my cob has just been broken to drive and we look forward to doing the trials in the future under harness.

The weather wasn't kind to us on the way down to the trials and it took twice as long as it should have to get there, the rain on my van roof kept us both awake most of the night, but as the next day dawned the weather had relented and provided us with what turned out to be a beautiful day for a hack in such a lovely setting. Many thanks to the fantastic venue, stewards and judges that made us feel very welcome and provided us with good food, support and friendship through-out the weekend - I recommend to anyone thinking of having a go to just do it and you wont be sorry!
